This is not just a logistics map. It is a planetary mesh of Sovereign Infrastructure.

At Kurb Kars, we have always believed that autonomous mobility is useless without reliable infrastructure. You cannot run a smart fleet on a dumb grid. That is why we have integrated our operations into Project Octagon—a master strategic deployment by our partners at DeReticular to launch 8 interconnected “Pilot Command Centers” across the globe.

Project Octagon replaces the fragile, linear supply chains of the past with a resilient, self-healing mesh. And Kurb Kars is the physical bloodstream of this new organism.


The Concept: 8 Nodes, 1 Brain

Project Octagon is the deployment of RIOS (Rural Infrastructure Operating System). Each node in the octagon is a ruggedized, solar-powered Command Center equipped with Starlink connectivity, Edge Computing, and industrial sensors.

These aren’t just buildings; they are “Digital Twins.” Data learned in the freezing tundra of Canada (Node 2) informs the energy efficiency algorithms in the tropical heat of Uganda (Node 4).

For Kurb Kars, Project Octagon represents the ultimate testbed. We are moving beyond simple transport into “Infrastructure-as-a-Service.”


Strategic Deployment: The Uganda Anchor

The beating heart of Project Octagon lies in East Africa. While other autonomous vehicle companies test in manicured suburbs, Kurb Kars is deploying in the rugged terrain of Kaabong, Uganda.

We are establishing two critical Nodes in Uganda that will define the future of rural industrialization:

Node 1: The Logistics & Hospitality Hub (The Concierge)

  • The Mission: This is the intake valve for the entire African operation.
  • Kurb Kars Role: We are deploying a fleet of ruggedized Kurb Kars to serve as the “Last Mile” link. From moving international investors securely to transporting specialized hardware for the DeReticular Academy, Node 1 is where our autonomy meets hospitality.
  • The Tech: Integration with AI “Agent-to-Agent” travel protocols to automate the movement of people and goods before they even touch the ground.

Node 4: The Green Industrial Engine (Kaabong SEIP)

  • The Context: A 7,000-acre Smart Eco-Industrial Park (SEIP) developed in a Joint Venture with Agra Energy Uganda.
  • The Industry: This is a Circular Economy masterpiece. We are cultivating high-yield industrial hemp and converting the waste biomass into 10–11 MW of clean electricity via Plasma Gasification.
  • Kurb Kars Role:
    1. Biomass Transport: Autonomous heavy-lift rovers moving hemp stalks from the field to the plasma reactor.
    2. Mobile Energy Storage: Our vehicles plug into the RIOS microgrid. When the sun goes down or demand spikes, Kurb Kars act as mobile batteries, stabilizing the grid for the processing plant.

The Arizona Connection: R&D Meets Reality

To survive in Uganda, we forge our technology in the fire of the Arizona desert.

Node 3 (Phoenix, AZ) serves as the Connectivity & Autonomy HQ. Sponsored by Trifi Wireless, this node allows us to utilize Arizona’s favorable regulatory environment to stress-test our autonomous navigation systems on the NVIDIA Drive platform.

The Strategy: We achieve certification in Phoenix, then “Copy/Paste” the proven technology to the Kaabong industrial site. This creates a data arbitrage loop—high-tech R&D in the West fueling high-impact industrialization in the Global South.
